Notes and comments:
This is another one of the lower end systems that I will build.  It has A LOT of upgradability with the LGA775 chipset and the Foxconn motherboard is capable of 800MHz on the front side bus.  This computer is going to rock with the minimal Microsoft Office and Internet usage it will get.

Diary

  • 5/9/2005: Started this log, also wanted to say that I’m happy to be able to build this PC and it is going to be VERY cool with all the silver accessories and the Chameleon light controller letting my sister make the inside of the case ANY color she wants.
  • 5/13/2005: Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh...the case came destroyed.  Its being RMA’d now, but that really sucks. Oh well, we’ll try try again and hope that the next one comes without the front of the pc falling off and the frame bent up.
  • 5/21/2005: Utilizing a Silver Rosewill case that I have, I was able to assemble and test all of the componenets this last week. All is going very well so far. I think I like the Rosewill case better than the Broadway case.  We’ll have to see what my sister thinks.
  • 6/8/2005: Update...we’ve given up on the Broadway case, and are utilizing a Roswewill case.  I’ll update the photos and specs “soon enough”. On a side note, the Chameleon light kit (allows you to control the light color for 4 LED cannons via a front panel interface) is awesome. So good in fact that my sister wants NO other lights added to the case. Perhaps you can take “Bling” too far? :)
  • 7/6/2005: Alright, no pictures yet, but I should get some “soon”, as the project is pretty much finished.
